A little about me

Hi, I am Mila — a developer, a stubborn writer and someone who cannot walk past a well-set piece of type without looking twice. Welcome to my corner of the web.

I have spent the last eight years turning vague product ideas into interfaces people can actually use. Most of that work is unglamorous: naming things well, deleting code that earns nothing, and making the fifth screen as considered as the first.

Writing came later and stuck. Explaining a technique forces me to understand it properly, so I publish notes on the things I had to learn twice — rendering strategies, accessibility, and the small decisions that decide whether a page feels fast.

What I care about most is the seam between design and engineering. A layout that only survives the happy path is not finished, and a component that looks right but traps a keyboard user is not finished either. I would rather ship one screen that holds up than five that almost do.

These days I work mostly on design systems and the front end of products that need to stay quick under load. I like long-running projects, small teams, and reviewers who are honest with me.

This site is where the two halves meet: the projects I have built, the articles I have written, and a fairly plain account of where I have worked. Take whatever is useful.

Thanks for stopping by — if any of it resonates, the contact page is one click away.
